Cake

I asked Roger this evening if he wanted some cake, and he said "I don't want cake. I demand cake." He's not quite 2 1/2.

  1. That. Is. Awesome.

    That is all. -_-

  2. So did you praise him for his ability to distinguish between the concept of "desire" and that of "demand,"or did you scold him for trying to demand something which is, in fact, a privilege? Eh?

  3. It reminds me of a remark made by Meatwad on _Aqua Teen Hunger Force_: "I don't 'want' candy. I _need_ candy. And when you need something, it's a responsibility."

  4. Perhaps Roger is trying to encourage the use of economic terminology.

  5. Ah, yes, our budding economist priest. How do you say "Body of Christ" in econo-speak?

  6. Well, economists don't really change names of things just for the fun of it.

I suppose if you felt an irrepressible urge to change the name just for the sake of being weird, you could refer to it as the "Supply of Christ." If a change in attitudes caused a sudden increase in church attendence, you might discuss the effect of that change on the "Marginal Producers of Salvation."

    That might be blasphemous, though.

Dude, that's hilarious! (even if it just might be slightly blasphemous.)
