Surely this is wrong. Everything I've heard before indicates that just one of my kidneys should be worth much more than this. If I suddenly stopped needing my liver, I could probably afford a new Mercedes.
I'm not so sure this is accurate. I think Ray has a point there with the extra weight thing. Also, it didn't ask male or female (I'd think womens' bodies would be worth a bit more, if the mad scientists could cull eggs from them for their evil experiments). And Stephen is right about the kidney thing, too. And I think you might be able to sell half of your liver, if things got a bit tight. AND... How much your body is worth if you DONATE it? I'd guess that'd probably be about $0. You know, 'cause it's a donation.... This is probably one of those things like the "age calculator" that supposedly tell you how healthy you are (without taking into account things like genetic predisposition to cancers and other things). Oh, yeah, I ended up at $3300.
"The whole concern of doctrine and its teaching must be directed to the love that never ends. Whether something is proposed for belief, for hope or for action, the love of our Lord must always be made accessible, so that anyone can see that all the works of perfect Christian virtue spring from love and have no other objective than to arrive at love." -- The Roman Catechism (aka Catechism of the Council of Trent)
Woohoo - my dead body is worth $4975!
ReplyDeleteWow...only 3900. I would have thought, with the extra weight and all, that I'd be worth more. Oh well.

ReplyDelete$5,175!
ReplyDeleteThis is supposed to be only if you "donate" your cadaver to science. Yes, individual usable organs would be worth more than this.

You're just bitter because your body is worth so little.
ReplyDeleteMy body was only worth $4600! I wonder why. I wish the calculator explained what factors made the body more or less valuable.
